El Tocuyo is a Venezuelan colonial city located in southwestern Lara state. It is the capital of Morán Municipality and one of the ten oldest cities in Venezuela. It was founded on December 7, 1545, by the Extremaduran conquistador Juan de Carvajal, with the full name "Our Lady of the Pure and Clean Conception of Tocuyo".
